Dolphin’s PCI Express expansion products are exclusively available through its Authorized Integrators ensuring the highest level of customer support including validation, benchmarking, customization and integration.

Dolphin’s PCI Express expansion solutions enable up to 8 PCI Express IO or accelerator modules to be housed in a remote chassis which can be positioned up to 300 meters from the host server. Enhanced capabilities allow dual 8x PCI Express links between the remote chassis and server (40Gb/sec), as well as connection to multiple servers from a single expansion chassis.

Dolphin’s partnership with Colfax will expand in coming months with the introduction of additional PCI Express solutions and appliances slated for Q2.

Robust Serial Attached SCSI RAID System with Redundant Controllers and SAS JBOD Expansion

High Availability
Promise VTrak E-Class is a family of intelligent, dual controller, SAS/SATA based storage arrays that fundamentally changes storage economics from purchase and set up to operation and upgrades. Four 3Gb SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) x4 host interface ports per controller provide a reliable, high-performance alternative to Ultra SCSI 320 storage applications. Each standard 3U, 19" rack unit supports up to 16 off-the-shelf 3.5" SAS or SATA 3Gb/s drives. Attach up to four SAS JBODs to deliver 80 drive bays of direct attached storage.

Simple and Familiar Direct Attached Storage (DAS)
Direct Attached Storage remains a favorite of SMB operations worldwide. Easy to configure and familiar even to novice system administrators, SAS inherits all of the DAS attributes while leaving its limitations far behind. With advanced multi-pathing capabilities, cascade support and full redundancy, the VTrak E-Class goes where parallel SCSI products cannot reach.

No Single Point of Failure
This enterprise-class, cable-less system design includes fully redundant, hot-swappable controllers, power and cooling units. All system components are constantly monitored using industry standard protocols to ensure continuous operation in case of failure or component malfunction. Dual active-active, failover/failback RAID controllers provide redundant data paths to further help ensure availability.

RAID 6
RAID 6 (double parity) delivers the highest level of reliability and data protection in a cost-effective solution. As the capacity of storage arrays increases, so does the risk of encountering unrecoverable read errors with single parity RAID levels. RAID 6 can handle double-drive failures, thereby providing greater protection against data loss. This also dramatically reduces the risk of catastrophic data loss during RAID rebuilds.

Easy to Install and Manage
The VTrak line features Promise's embedded browser-based management interface, WebPAM PROe, eliminating the need to install additional software. All VTrak systems on the network can be configured and monitored using a single, easy-to-manage interface through an out-of-band Ethernet port. By using industry-standard management protocols, Promise simplifies integration with third-party management applications.
